Jean Bouchard is a
truly Burgundian house, owned and run by the Bichot
family, one of Burgundy's top negociants since 1831.
The brand offers a
comprehensive range of major Burgundy appellations at all levels, from good
value Bourgogne Chardonnay and Pinot Noir to Grand Cru wines.
The winery works with
vineyards in Chablis, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Pommard and Mercury,
comprising a range of appellations representing Burgundy in its entirety
Yields are kept low
and each wine offers a true expression of its unique terroir.
Several wines have
been selected to bear the sought after Confrerie
des Chevaliers du Tastevin coat of arms, a mark
of outstanding Burgundy winemaking.

including Concours des Grands Vins de Macon, Concours General Agricole de Paris, Concours des Burgondia and Gilbert &

than 1 million bottles of Jean Bouchard are distributed in France.
Today the estate is
owned by Domaine Albert-Bichot, a major player in
the Burgundy market with over 200 years winemaking experience. Domaine Albert-Bichot is now the No.1
buyer at the world famous Hospices de Beaune auction.
ABOUT THE WINE:
The nose is fresh and elegant with a typical Kimmeridgian nose featuring mineral aromas. The palate starts off with flavours of crisp, fresh fruit. Harmonious structure and a mineral finish.
