Orange Yakult Carrot Halwa

INGREDIENTS
  • 500g Carrots (Peel and Grated)
  • 200ml Full Fat Milk
  • 400ml Orange Yakult
  • 25g Milk Powder
  • 60g Ghee
  • ¼tsp Cardamon Powder
  • ¼tsp Cinnamon Powder
  • 1tbsp Raisins
  • To Garnish Almond and Pistachios
  • To Garnish Orange Zest
COOKING METHOD
  1. Grate the carrots to on the medium grater
  2. In a flat pan over low heat, add carrots, milk and yakult
  3. Cook carrots until all the milk is cooked off, approximately 20mins
  4. Add ghee, cardamon powder and cinnamon powder to the carrots
  5. Mix well and cook for 5mins
  6. Add milk powder and cook for another 20mins
  7. Stir occassionally to ensure carrots are cooked evenly
  8. Add raisins and continue to cook
  9. The carrots halwa is ready when the ghee starts to split from the mixture
  10. Garnish with almond, pistachip and orange zest
